Dream coming true!! I am officially launching my calligraphy and watercolor business. I have two opportunities of studying my passion for my business and to share with you all.
1) IRELAND!!!!! 15 days of studying and capturing manuscripts and local culture with painting and calligraphy and sketching. I get to see the Book of Kells! And other illuminated manuscripts. Some of the locations will be: Kilkenny Castle, Jerpoint Abbey, Ahenny Stone Crosses, Kinsales, Drombeg Stone Circle, Dingle, Cliffs of Moher and explore the Burren. Dates are May 22-June 6 of 2023.
I need to have this trip paid for before April 10th of 2023. Ireland will cost about $7,000.00.( passport = $300; airfare = $1200.00, lodging/transportations/fees = $4350.00; meals = $1,000.) So far, I have $2,000 paid towards trip, leaving me with a balance needed of $5,000.00.
2) Iampeth Calligraphy Conference!! July 17-23 of 2023 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. I attended last year and learned so much. I will get to spend full days learning side by side with world renowned masters calligraphy masters. Iampeth is a calligraphy society where I will get the education and mentoring needed to become an official master penman.
This is a life goal of mine and a long wonderful journey. Last year, the conference costs were about $3,500.00 on a tight budget, would like to do $4,000 to be a little more comfortable.
I am just barely getting my business started, and do not have much of a cash flow yet. I need your help getting to these events.
How to help: Pre buy art from me from Ireland. I will be painting at every location. I will be doing stickers, reproductions, and bookmarks from my Inspirations there. I am setting this up like a “kickstarter” concept, and I need the funds ahead of time to get to location.
$25.00 = Stickers
$50.00 = Stickers and laminated Irish inspired Bookmark
$100.00 8x10” reproduction print of Ireland painting, stickers, bookmark
$125.00 = Mug with Irish art (add $10 for shipping) 8x10” reproduction print of Ireland painting, stickers, bookmark
$150.00 4x6” watercolor original painting (postcard) painted on site and shipped from Ireland. (There is a limited amount available)
$200.00+ you will be spoiled
All moneys sponsored will first go to the Ireland fund, and then towards the Iampeth conference. If you want to be over generous, I will be setting aside the extra for the 2024 Iampeth Conference. I will attach a business PayPal link – “The Coffee Shop Scribe”.
It is difficult to ask, and I truly do need help making this dream happen. Please help in any way you can, with funds, sharing my dream with others, and just being my cheerleader. Thank you all for reading my long post, and thank you all for all being there for me.
